45 minute run.
I'll have more to say about this project as it progresses.
But I gotta throw this down. Seasonal beer? From my experience this is tops. I had a pint of Pliny one night at Toronado and followed that up with a pint (actually a 10oz pour) of Maharaja and my taste buds made a massive declaration. I think you know what I'm talking about. This is a massive DIPA with lovely flavors and a great sense of great beer.
If you can find it, don't be shy.
....and that, my friend, is why I'm scouring the Colorado market to pick up the last of these babies! Avery ran out of Maharaja kegs at the Tap House at the end of April! I can't believe they only brew one of my Top 3 favorite beers once a year! My bomber stash should get me deep into Summer!
ReplyDeleteYeah I would love to find some of that stuff, seriously magical!
ReplyDeleteI'm down to 2 Maharaja's left - I know of a couple more liquor stores with some left - I need to go clean them out this weekend.
ReplyDeletePliny is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to find in the Boulder area. No liquor stores ever know when they'll get their next shipment. I've never had it, but the legend that is Pliny the Elder has me captivated.
Skatona, I find Pliney on a fairly regular basis at Daveco at Baseline and I25. It's worth the drive! (but still not as good as Maharaja!)
ReplyDeleteNice "bomber stash" JP. I was surprised to find my two since I heard it was seasonal and gone. These will be opened only on special occasion which basically means post epic work-out.
ReplyDeleteSkatona, check out Pliny. It's clean, fresh classic IPA, the standard I guess. Sounds like you can find, according to JP.
Long live Maharaja!
